Student Activities

All students are encouraged to participate in all aspects of student activities; which includes sharing ideas, planning, and execution of a desire activity. The department of Student Activities is open and available to all students, faculty, and staff who desire to be apart of our rapidly evolving department.

The mission of the Department of Student Activities is to enhance the collegiate experience of all students, faculty, and staff through comprehensive programming. By collaboratively working across divisions in coordinating college-wide events this office offers the Clinton College community opportunities through service-learning projects, intellectual presentations, and social engagement.

Clubs and Organizations:

Student Government Association (SGA)

The Student Government Association consist of two divisions:

Executive Cabinet is composed of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, Student Public Relations, and Chaplin.

Student Senate is composed of any full-time student that are nonvoting members who attend SGA meetings and SGA sponsored programs.

SGA provides an early experience in self-government that serves as a useful public service. The purpose of the Student Government Association at Clinton College is to:

  • Exemplify the Presidential motto Excellence without Excuse
  • Engage students
  • Express student concerns and suggestions
  • Safeguard student interest
  • Facilitate effective communication between administration, faculty, staff, and students
  • Acknowledge and support student clubs and organizations by sponsoring events for the enhancement and enrichment of the student body
  • Encourage participation in all aspects of student life

Alpha Beta Gamma Society (ABG)

An international business honor society established to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students in business curricula. Induction ceremonies are held in the fall and spring semesters.

Alpha Beta Gamma consist of two divisions:

Student Membership: Full time students who meet the international criteria.

Faculty/Staff Membership: Current employees of Clinton College who would like to participate.

Rotaract Club

Local and international community service leaders who strive to impact those that are less fortunate. The Rock Hill Rotary Club supports the Rotaract Club at Clinton College and are committed to seeing our scholars impact not only the local community but the global community as well.

Student Activity Council

A council of enrolled students who are enthusiastic about being a part of the co-curricular activities and programs. Students work together to plan and execute engaging programming around campus to enhance the collegiate experience for all. Must be in right standing financially and academically to serve in an official capacity.

Student Food Council

A group of boarding students who serve as a liaison between the student body and food service. The food council has been instrumental in advocating for the renovation of the café; which looks beautiful. Students are encouraged and welcomed to voice concerns and suggestions to their SFC members to be address as to bring change.

NAACP-Clinton

As an extension of the Rock Hill NAACP Clinton College has reinstated membership to the National Association of the Advancement of Colored People. Meetings are held biweekly and are scheduled based on their desire or need for after class schedules.
